Become a Heart of Centerville Member
The Heart of Centerville is a 80 member organization created and maintained to foster the growth and development
of businesses. Our members provide unity and support for the efforts of retailers, professional service companies and organizations in Centerville and Washington Township.
Why join the Heart of Centerville? Here are a few reasons to consider:
80 local businesses are members and cooperative-working together as one large business unit.
Advertising: When we combine our dollars, we are able to receive greater discounts for advertising in many different forms.
Networking: You have the opportunity to meet, talk and share ideas with other small business owners. You can join forces to cross-market network. Members are most likely to build relationships and refer others in the networking circle.
Referrals: The member businesses of the organization promote their cooperative members. This means you have 80-plus businesses promoting your business to all of their customers.
Events:
- Third Friday After Hours: Created to provide opportunity for the community to visit the Heart of
Centerville after business hours. This event has been extremely successful and will continue to
grow each year. Each event has a fundraising effort to benefit a local charity.
- Holiday Walk: The Holiday Walk has the support of The City of Centerville, The Centerville-
Washington Township Historical Society, the Centerville Noon Optimist and the South Metro
Regional Chamber of Commerce. As a member you are included in this advertising. When
combined with the other money set aside from the Heart of Centerville, this adds up to $10,000
worth of advertising annually. You can not touch that kind of advertising as a solo small business.
- Numerous Other Events: Many other businesses are deeply connected within the community and
are invited to participate in grand scale events. The Heart of Centerville board works with these
businesses to increase the scope of the events by inviting other local businesses to
participate…YOU.
An "off-site" Marketing Team: Your board members meet every Friday informally to discuss ways to further promote the Heart of Centerville, and the group meets formally once per month. There is an additional Service Networking Group that also meets once a month to talk about what you can do for the group and help you build relationships with other members. You benefit from these efforts.
A presence on the Heart of Centerville website: This site receives thousands of visitors. You receive a mini-page with your logo, business description and contact information which links to your personal website. You will also be able to post events and news on the website home page. The group is also active on Facebook.
Your business is identified on the fold out walking map: Over 10,000 maps are printed and distributed annually. You are automatically included as part of your membership. You may have your business card included on the map, doubling your exposure for an additional $100.
Your Heart of Centerville Membership is $200 for the first year. The renewal membership is $150 annually.
